There is always opportunity for revolution. The beauty of a democracy is, there is the increased chance that the system can correct itself. Is this still possible today? That is the argument, as pessimistic as i can be i have to say yes, it is possible.

People have good reason to fear the police states we are facing today but remember, the tighter a government squeezes it's fist, the more people slip through the fingers.

The flaw to your argument is, the very people that enforce the corrupt and suppressive policies of the governments in question are also in some way shape or form the citizens of that government. A fascist government fuels its own fascism. the subtle policies that formed it's existence are eventually blown out of proportion until paranoia, propaganda and blind ideology become visible to even the most stout proponents. There is tipping point when even the enforcers of the policy rebel and the carefully constructed machine starts to fall apart from within.

A tipping point is always achieved where the government is forcefully removed (or restored depending on how you look at it) from within (though sometimes this is done with the assistance of outside influence). Fascist governments are vicious animals, and just like in nature the most aggressive and vicious animals eventually fall victim to their own voracity.

Everything in life is cyclic and governments aren't excluded. all must change and evolve. a fascist state is an attempt to stall progress and silence thought. It's an attempt to turn free thinking humans into machines and is something we will rebel against by our very nature.

The fascist state is fundamentally flawed as the foundation for ALL democracies is that the state should exist in service of the people, and fascism attempts to make the people exist in service to the state. This is done through restriction and suppression. As history shows the more a government tries to restrict it's people, the more violently they will resist. Either the people will restore the government to it's intended state, or they will destroy it and start again.

love your country
fear your government
exercise your rights and if someone tries to take your liberty, take it back.

edit: just got done watching the whole thing, it was pretty interesting. i started my post with a jefferson quote, i like how they ended their flick with one:

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny;
when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
